A short drive to Cheshire , Ct takes us to the Barker Character, Comic, and Cartoon Museum. Enjoy more than 60,000 pieces of fun including the ventriloquist case housing Charlie Mc Carthy and Howdy Doody. Let the Little Big, Big Little and Golden Books take you back in time. After lunch we head to Bristol to visit the new Silver Screen Movie Museum. This new museum is dedicated to actors, make-up artists, costume, and set designers of the classic science fiction films. Lifelike wax figures of famous sci-fi characters highlight the tour.

| CLOWNS AND CAROUSELS |
We take a short drive to Bristol, Ct where we visit the Carousel Museum of New England. Marvel at these magnificent antique carousels before you take a ride on one. After a luncheon, we head to Bridgeport for the Barnum Museum. Everyone loves the circus. Follow PT Barnum’s life from Circus to Broadway. Don’t forget to visit Baby Bridgeport – a 6’ 8” mounted pachyderm.

This exciting day includes a train ride, a boat cruise on the Connecticut River and a self-guided tour of Gillette Castle, the home of famous actor William Gillette. Lunch is included at the Griswold Inn or Dock and Dine at Saybrook Point..

Travel to Hartford, Connecticut to visit the homes of Mark Twain, a 19 room Victorian mansion decorated by Tiffany, and Harriet Beecher Stowe, the author of Uncle Tom’s Cabin. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the Wadsworth Athenaeum, America’s oldest continuously operating public art museum. Lunch included.
